THE 12th ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP GOLF OUTING - ANOTHER SUCCESS!
IYour CCA would like to thank all of the people who helped make the Scholarship Golf Outing a rousing success. Without you - our providers, brother and sister Unions, and of course our Captains - we would not be able to award scholarships to our children. This year, due to a tie for the 15th scholarship, we will award 16 of our children with a check for $1500. Look in the next issue of FRONTLINE for the list of scholarship winners!

The Executive Board hopes everyone is enjoying the summer. We look forward to seeing you at the September meeting.
I am pleased to announce that Governor David Patterson has signed the Surviving Spouse Bill in to law. In the event that a member of service (active or retired) passes away, their dependents and surviving spouse or registered domestic partner can purchase health insurance through the City past the 3 years provided for with COBRA. In light of the current economic situation, this new law can mean the difference between having affordable access to proper medical care and worrying if medical bills will bankrupt you. This new law is an important accomplishment for your Board. Additional information will be available at the September General Membership meeting and in the next issue of the FRONTLINE.
